Yes, I’m back, and yes, I know you missed me
There was no time to blog during the vaca, but oh, was there plenty to blog.
Where to start? With the most exciting things, of course! First, she arrived! Wooohoooo!! Then, there was The Concert.
After the normal ritual of making signs (which ended up being the HIT of the concert, but more on that later), getting all pretty for the concert, and bribing a security attendant for a decent parking place (decent as in right in front of the venue!), we arrived at the venue. When we saw how close our seats were to the stage (the pictures SO DO NOT do them justice!) we all nearly laid a brick.
The opening act was the Jabbawockeez. It really wasn’t my thing. Honestly, I don’t think it would have mattered who the opening act was, I was too excited about seeing the boys.
And then it was time and the show started. OMG doesn’t even begin to cover it. There they were, after 20 years!
And they are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo fine!
Seriously, look at them! They’re just so pretty!
This picture of Danny is one of my favorites and it has a story to it.
The aforementioned magic shamrocks came into play here. It’s a titch blurry, but if you look at it, you can tell he is reading something in the audience. We had made signs in the shape of shamrocks and at that moment, she was holding up the Danny shamrock that read “Got Wood?” on it. So once he reads the sign, he points to his general crotch area and mouths to Amy, “Maybe later.” ZOMG. The magic shamrock signs elicited a response from four of the five guys. My sister got blown a kiss by Donnie.
The concert went by soooooooo fast, too. I felt like we got there and 2 seconds later, it was time to leave. Despite the fact that I took over a 150 pictures, I sooo could have taken more if I hadn’t been so completely mesmerized by the experience.
So, in case you didn’t pick up on it, I had the best time ever! There’s a ton of pics of on Flickr if you want to check them out. The concert wasn’t the end of the night for us. After the show, there was a Waffle House in our future; but I’ll save that for another post.
