I don’t know how much more I can take of my work environment. No angsty whining, I seriously cannot take it any more. I am sick to death of being picked apart for not being able to produce perfection when I am doing the job of 3 people. I worry about work all the time. I’ve needed to go see the doctor for like 3 weeks, and I can’t find a day where I can be away from the office long enough to go.

Goddammit all to hell.

I found the coolest site last night while I was stumbling around the Internets. It’s called Swaptree. I guess it is kind of like Freecycle, but better. You create a list of things you want and a list of things you have (books, CDs, DVDs, games). Swaptree then looks for people for you to trade your items with. They even have postage ($2.15!!) set up through their site. The postage is the only charge to the user.

Nifty, huh?

I hate where I work. Truly. I used to love it, and I guess there are still things I really like, like most of the people. But, and I could be wrong, I think they are systematically attempting to drive me the rest of the way insane.

It’s the work load that is bothering me. Seriously, no exaggerating, I am doing the work of 3 people. And I could handle that (probably) if allowances were made for how much work I do and how little time I have to do it in, but there isn’t.

Sorry to disappoint Work People, but you can’t expect me to crank out perfection when I have 3 times the amount of work I should have, but the exact same amount of time in which to do that work. Everything is needed right this second and it has to be absolutely perfect. Well, how is that supposed to work exactly? I’m human, a human that is being pushed really hard. Back the fuck up off me and have a little understanding of the situation in which I work.

I asked when our department could expect more help. Guess when? Not this year! Maybe next year, by which time, I will have totally burned out.

*sigh*

Who’s Your Inner Rock Chick?

Um, Britney, don’t you have “people?” I hear when you are famous, you have “people,” and that you can send your “people” to the local drug store to buy a pregnancy test.

Oh, and there’s also this stuff called “birth control” that will, 99.9% of the time, keep you from getting knocked up.

Just wanted to give you a heads up, there sweetie.

I still cannot believe it. I got two tickets to Wicked the Musical 3 hours before show time and was so close to the stage I could have reached out and touched the actors. We had an amazing time. There aren’t appropriate words for how amazing the show was. It was funny, sad, exciting, scary…it was exactly what I knew it would be.

I bought myself a Wicked the Musical official program and coffee mug. My sister got the cutest shirt that goes with one of the songs. It’s pink and says “Popular” across the front and the “L” in popular is Glinda’s wand.

I wish I had been able to score other pictures. I was only able to take the one above with my camera phone, just before the show started.

Oh! And the singing! Elphaba and Glinda had the most amazing voices!

Last night was a little slice of heaven. It totally made up for the horror of the EMG.

I’m off. My sister now wants to read Wicked the novel and I don’t have my copy anymore, so we have to pick one up (and our creations from last weekend).
